About Me
Married and lived in Wilmslow since 2009, semi-retired since July. I am an enthusiastic cyclist, a novice triathlete and a keen runner. All these activities started late in life and I hope I will encourage others to take up sport when they are over 50. Obtained sailing qualifications but not yet had time to use them much. I am willing to try any new sport at the leisure centres and I am a member of my local leisure centre.

Why do I want to be involved?
I wanted to contribute to this new project and, in particular, assist with making leisure centres accessible to all so that all ages of people can have a go at a new sport and also develop their sporting achievements to the level that they want to. Some will be a ‘Mo Farah’ of the future; but most will be getting enjoyment and a more healthy lifestyle from the experience. I have 18 years of executive experience in NHS and 8 years of non-executive experience in the charitable sector. I bring to the board considerable experience of governance, risk management, marketing and financial management. I am very used to working with commissioners of healthcare and look forward to working with our local Clinical Commissioning Groups on this project.
