Crewe Lifestyle Centre Member Bob Reeves Loses 5 Stone And He's Not Stopping There!

By Everybody Sport February 9, 2018

Member Bob Reeves shares his fitness success story and sets a fantastic example to us all!

I joined the Lifestyle Centre back in February 2017 with the Everybody Healthy team following a lengthy illness. At the time of joining I was 23st7lb and wearing size 44-46inch trousers.

I was assisted by Josie, one of the Lifestyle coaches with an initial introduction, weight and measurements check etc. These introductory measurements are taken at the start of undergoing a health programme to establish how you feel mentally, where you feel you are at the time of joining the programme and how you can do better. You then look at making better lifestyle choices to help you get back on track with having a full life rather than just existing. After 12 weeks with Josie, with 1 hour assessments every 3 – 4 weeks and exercise changes and tutorials along the way, I continued with the same routine myself.

After about 6 – 7 months of being a gym member, I approached Sam, one of the Personal Trainers, to enhance my training knowledge and affects to further my training. This was very useful and Sam was very knowledgeable and encouraging. I would recommend that if you are feeling apprehensive when going to the gym or at the thought of going to the gym, to have some sessions with the coaches to make sure that you can understand the exercises you are doing, do them correctly and understand how to use the machines better in order to get the most from your sessions.

I now weigh 18st4lb, am now in 38 inch trousers and still working at my fitness. This is the point where I need to keep going and make it a ‘lifestyle change’ not a ‘drop a few pounds for holiday’ change. Keep going and you will feel better for longer, for life, not just your 2 week holiday.

All in all the experience has been brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone! It’s not easy, I know, but what is that’s good for you?!

Bob’s Personal Trainer Sam Bottomley commented, “Bob has been great to work with and he always tries everything. Due to medical issues, not everything has been possible, but we have adapted around this and he has done a superb job. He now has the knowledge to workout confidently and safely on his own, and he does so 3-4 times per week. It’s always great to see him progressing and his waistline shrinking”
