Mark Davies is a volunteer who has supported in a variety of IT roles spanning approximately 20 years.
Mark started to volunteer with the Leisure Development team for Crewe and Nantwich Borough Council in the late 1990’s and he continued with his support as a Cheshire East volunteer. At present, he is currently assisting Everybody Sport and Recreation with developing a database to record volunteer information. The database is a vital source of information, which provides important insights to the business. As well as recording volunteers’ data we are also able to highlight which volunteer would be best suited to new opportunities as well as the trigger points that indicate when rewards are due to be issued.
In the early days, his passion for initially growing and improving the quality within a variety of databases eventually gave him the opportunity to complete a HND qualification at South Cheshire College and leave the course with the award of Student of the year! Mark has also passed on his skills and knowledge to others, ran IT workshops and become a competent web editor.
Mark’s experience as a volunteer has enabled him to build up some valuable working relationships with his colleagues over the many years of his support. Mark refers fondly to both his achievements and new friendships formed,
