Nantwich Swimming Pool to Undergo Refurbishment Works

Nantwich Swimming Pool which this summer attracted over 100,000 visits [since May 2016], is to undergo essential refurbishment to improve the condition of the indoor pools for customers.

Due to substantial funding Cheshire East Council and Everybody Sport and Recreation is to refurbish the indoor pools, which will temporarily close from Monday 14th November until Monday 19th December.

Paul Winrow, Director of Sport and Operations commented, ‘This will be the second major investment into Nantwich Swimming Pool in the last 10 years and we are looking forward to the improvements on the indoor pools.

‘We are working closely with Cheshire East Council to reinvest in our facilities to improve the experience for our customers and will be accommodating users from Nantwich Pool at other Everybody Swimming Pools where possible during the refurbishment period.’

The refurbishment will include a replacement of all existing decaying wooden ceilings, replacing of lighting with economical LED lighting systems, full redecoration, replacing damaged tiles, refurbishment of changing room lockers and servicing of the main pool pumps.

This will be the second great investment into the fabric and systems within the pool in the past decade.

The Nantwich Fitness Suite & Fitness Studio will remain open throughout the works and Everybody customers will be able to use any Everybody Swimming Pool in Cheshire East during the closure period as part of their membership; including the brand new Crewe Lifestyle Centre.
