Recognise your sporting and community heroes in Cheshire East for an Everybody Award

 

The nominations for the Everybody Awards 2017 are now open. Each year the event celebrates sporting and community heroes in Cheshire East, with over 200 guests coming together to be recognised for their achievements and helping change lives through healthy recreation.

The awards will be taking place at the prestigious Wrenbury Hall on Friday 6th October 2017 and the night is set to be inspirational with success stories of sporting clubs, volunteers, organisations and individuals from the region.

Awards will be given to inspirational people in the categories of Sports Personality of the Year, Health & Wellbeing Award, Club of the Year, Coach of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, Young Volunteer of the Year, Young Sports Achiever of the Year, Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year,  Lifetime Achievement and Everybody Customer Hero.

Winners from last year included Daniel Bramall who competed in the Rio Paralympics 2016, Amy Rodgers who is a member of the England U16 squad, MAC Activity Centre and Gymfinity.

Andrew Kolker, Chairman at Everybody Sport and Recreation commented, ‘Every year we are proud of the achievements coming from our region, from aspiring Olympians to organisations making a difference to the lives of Cheshire East residents. We are encouraging you to nominate your heroes in your town for an Everybody Award, they deserve recognition and we want to tell their story.’

In 2016, guests were given an inspiring keynote speech from Racing Driver Nicolas Hamilton who gave guests an insight into his racing driver career and how he became the first ever driver with a disability to compete in the British Touring Car Championship Series in 2015. This year the Everybody Awards will be welcoming another uplifting and motivational key note speaker soon to be announced.
