10 New Apprenticeships Offered by Everybody Academy in Cheshire East
Everybody is now proud to announce they are to provide 10 apprenticeship opportunities to kick-start careers in leisure and provide excellent on the job training and recognised qualifications in a variety of roles throughout the business.
When Everybody formed on 1st May 2014, it set out five main aims of the business which would help to provide leisure for life in Cheshire East. One of these aims was to ‘develop our people to be the best’, something in which the organisation has strived to do over the past year.
Head of HR, Thomas Barton commented, ‘These new apprenticeship positions will help candidates to establish a career in the leisure industry. They will gain real-life experience of what it is like to work in the sector.’
He continued, ‘From business admin, marketing and finance to human resources, leisure development and leisure operations there are opportunities in numerous roles. Developing our team is at the heart of what we do, and we welcome colleagues with high potential to help us drive our business forward.’
As well as combining high quality training and qualifications with real job experience, apprentices will be also offered the chance to do internal and relevant industry courses and team building during the 12 months apprenticeship.
Thomas Barton commented, ‘We see this as ideally being a stepping stone into employment either with us, or for the apprentice to move on to a level 3 apprenticeship.’
Everybody has recruited over 40 new members of staff in the past year from cleaners, receptionist, lifeguards and managers. The recruitment drive is continuing in 2015 as the trust aims to create more permanent roles in the leisure industry.

Everybody Sport & Recreation – ‘Everybody’ is the new charitable trust established to run leisure services in the Cheshire East area. The trust aims to provide ‘leisure for life’ by changing lives through healthy recreation.
