Free healthcare event to mark National Older People’s Day
To mark National Older People’s Day, the NHS and their partner organisations are holding a free healthcare event on Friday 29th September, 10.00-4.00pm at the Crewe Lifestyle Centre.
Local healthcare partners are coming together to provide information and advice about local services available for older people including balance and posture classes, falls advice, healthy eating and cooking demonstrations, information technology support, winter health awareness and much more.
Everybody Leisure will be offering information on their funded health programmes which include; falls prevention classes, weight management workshops, advice on how to become more active, cookery classes and more.
Therapy staff from The Community Rehabilitation Team, North West Ambulance Service, Everybody Leisure, Cheshire East Council, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service, Age UK, Red Cross and the Crewe and Nantwich Senior forum will be at the event offering their support and advice.
