The Everybody Awards from Everybody Leisure take place on the 11th of October at Crewe Hall. The night is due to be inspirational, with many success stories from sporting clubs, volunteers, organisations and individuals from the region.
This year, the keynote speech will be delivered by Paralympic cyclist Megan Giglia MBE, who will be sharing her inspirational journey on how she overcame an Acute Brain Haemorrhage in 2013 to receive the first gold medal for team GB and 2 world records at the 2016 Rio Paralympic Games.
This year’s events shortlist has been announced, with successful athletes, inspirational coaches, superstar volunteers and more nominated in categories including, Sports Personality of the Year, Health and Welbeing award, Club of the Year, and Customer Hero.
Megan was one of Everybody Leisure’s Talented Athlete’s and won the Disabled Sports Achiever Award in 2015 at the Everybody Awards. Megan has proven to be an inspiration to many athletes in the local area and has said “I am delighted to be a part of the awards and look forward to hearing about all the nominee’s stories and celebrating with them.”
When asked about Megan’s attendance, Thomas Barton, Director at Everybody Leisure said, “We are delighted to have Megan at the awards this year, and are sure that all in attendance will be so excited about hearing her amazing story. We cannot wait for the awards and look forward to celebrating all our amazing nominee’s on the night.”
