Everybody Sport and Recreation have been out and about this festive period delivering Christmas presents to children and families in need. They visited Ruby’s fund and the New Life Church, both based in Congleton. The members of staff were all delighted with the gifts and noted how happy the children and families would be to receive them.
It is extremely important to Everybody Sport and Recreation to do this, and it has now become a yearly tradition. Giving back to the community is something they strive to do all year, but to donate toys and gifts to children at Christmas is the first thing on their list.
Peter Hartwell, Chief Executive at Everybody Sport and Recreation commented,
“It is great for us to be able to give back to the community at this time, something so small for us can really make someone’s Christmas, and it’s an opportunity we really appreciate. The two charities we have worked with are great and we hope we have been able to help them this year.”
Ruby’s Fund run an inclusive sensory centre and social café for children and young people with additional needs and disabilities, and their families, carers and friends and provide a safe stimulating environment for everyone. The New Life Church has a food bank that will be distributing 400 hampers to local people at Christmas time & the toys will be included in these hampers.
