We have introduced Caught Short Kits in all our leisure centres, providing free sanitary and personal hygiene products for those times when you just might need them, without the embarrassment of asking directly for them.
Lack of proper education around periods, the stigma and shame around menstruation and the cost of period products all form part of a ‘toxic trio’ of issues fueling period poverty in the UK- Source Plan International
The menstrual cycle is a barrier to participation for anyone who has periods, something we want to help change, because we believe periods shouldn’t be a barrier to being active. Let’s raise the bar to enable people who menstruate to show up to physical activities as themselves.

How do I access the products?
Our Caught Short Kits are located in lockers in all of our leisure centres.
Look out for our posters displayed on the back of our toilet doors and in changing rooms which detail the location of the locker and the padlock code.
Please take as much as you need, if you have any questions please speak to a member of staff who will happily help.
