Everybody Membership FAQs – Reopening from April 2021

Following recent guidance from central government and Public Health England and working together with Cheshire East Council, we will be reopening on 12th April 2021.

Which Everybody centres are opening on 12th April?

All the below centres will be re-opening from 12th April:

My local leisure centre is on the list to re-open on the 12th April, when will my fitness membership payment be taken?

We will take your DD on the 1st or 15th of April (depending on which date you selected when joining), this will be your normal membership fee less any days owed to you.

We have decided to keep our membership prices fixed at our 2020 prices as a thank you for your loyalty and patience.

I have paid my annual membership fee upfront, what happens to my lost months?

For Annual Cash/Upfront payment members we will be adding on the extra months to the end of our membership renewal date so you aren’t missing any months in your membership.

What services will be available from 12th April?

From the 12th April we will be reopening our gyms, indoor swimming pools, as well as offering some outdoor fitness sessions.

Outdoor sport facilities (tennis and organised sport bookings) will be available from 29th March.

All sauna and steam rooms will remain closed until further government announcements.

When is my local swimming pool re-opening?

All of our indoor swimming pools are reopening for public swimming and swimming lessons on 12th April. All swimming sessions need to be booked online here: portal.everybody.org.uk/bookings

Swimming clubs (under 18s) will resume from 12th April.

When will swimming lessons begin again?

Swimming lessons (under 18’s only) will begin from 12th April on the same lesson date and time as previously agreed before lockdown.

Swimming lessons for adults will resume from May 17th.

If you are a Congleton LTSS member  you will also receive a personal email detailing your new swimming lesson location over the coming weeks.

When will indoor group fitness classes resume?

Indoor group exercise will be resuming from 17th May but we will be offering outdoor fitness sessions from 12th April. We also have our Everybody @ Home virtual fitness classes available as part of your membership with over 25 live classes a week and 100’s of on-demand videos to do at home.

Our health and fitness advisors will also be on hand to offer any advice and provide a personal programme review including a body analysis check in our gym locations.

When is the Nantwich outdoor pool re-opening?

Nantwich outdoor pool will be reopening at the end of May following some improvement works and more details will be shared nearer the time.

When will Taste for Life Cafes be reopening?

We will be opening some of our cafes from 17th May for table service and takeaway catering. We are hoping to open all cafes from 21st June.

When will health classes resume?

We will be offering health walks as of 12th April and Move it or Lose it group fitness classes from 17th May. All other specialised health programmes including multi-rehabilitation and exercise referral will be reintroduced from 21st June.

Will the changing rooms be available?

Yes, we will be opening changing facilities and showers for gym, swim and group fitness classes but we are asking members to please come ‘gym’ and ‘swim’ ready where possible. There will be toilets available for use for all customers.

Swimming changing facilities are open, however please follow our swimming guidance and come ‘beach ready’. Please shower at home prior to and after your swimming session.

Can I just turn up to use the gym, classes or sports activities and pay on the day?

We are now able to accept walk-in bookings from our members and casual customers for gym, swimming and classes. Priority for bookings will be given to those booking online in advance, but we appreciate there are sometimes last minute cancellations or customers who would like to take a chance on joining in a session. We do advise all customers to try and book online first, particularly for sessions at peak times (early morning and evening) to avoid disappointment.

All customers who visit the facility must check-in at our self-service kiosks or reception desk and use the NHS QR code posters for track and trace.

We will try and keep our members up to date when spaces come available on our sessions via our social media pages so please check for updates

I do not have an Everybody membership, how do I book a class or come to use the gym on a casual basis?

To use our facilities on a casual basis, you will need to take out a Wildcard membership. This costs £1 per year and provides you with access to book activities online. You will also get a price freeze on all casual prices for gym, classes and swimming.

How do I register for online bookings?

I would like to hire your facilities for a party booking, event, indoor sport session, deliver an external service

We are not making our indoor facilities available for hire until more social contact restrictions are lifted in the summer. This is also due to our sports halls being used to accommodate group fitness and Everybody sport sessions to allow for social distancing measures.

Do I need to wear a face covering when visiting the centre?

Users must wear a face covering when attending one of our facilities prior to taking part in an activity or as a spectator. We do appreciate this isn’t suitable for all users and there are exceptions. We encourage users to maintain social distancing of at least 2m in all areas around the facility.
