Family Swim Session

Family swims are unstructured sessions that are suitable for families attending with children. There will be no lanes for swimming lengths as the sessions are catered for leisure use.

Swimmers under the age of 12 must be supervised on a 1:2 ratio & and any children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by a parent on a 1:1 ratio, unless the child is wearing suitable flotation devices.

Important updates regarding our Pool Admission Policy: 

  1. Until further notice, all children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by at least one adult in the water and changing area during public swimming (learner pools) and family swimming sessions.
  2. Swimmers must be aged 12+ in order to attend a public swimming session (main pools) and/or lane swimming session.
  3. Swimmers of all ages can attend the family swimming sessions and any swimming sessions in the learner pool, provided that point no.1 is followed.
  4. Swimmers under the age of 12 must be supervised on a 1:2 ratio & and any children under the age of 4 must be accompanied by a parent on a 1:1 ratio, unless the child is wearing suitable flotation devices.

Family swims are unstructured sessions suitable for family attending with children. Please be mindful that the water temperature is lower than an indoor pool (24c-25c) so it’s not suitable for babies. There will be no lanes for swimming lengths as the sessions are catered for leisure use.

  • Arrive ‘Beach ready’ changing areas on entry are not provided
  • Use an outdoor locker for any essential belongings
  • Adhere to directional arrows during the swim and also around the poolside
  • No overtaking
  • Static swimmers to maintain social distance
  • Changing facilities are now available but we encourage you to shower at home where possible
  • Families must maintain social distancing within the pool – *3 metres apart minimum*
  • No balls, inflatables or similar items will be allowed in the pool
  • There will be set entry and exit points within the pool
  • There will be no spectating facilities available to non swimming members
