Wilmslow Triathlon: Sunday 17th May

By Everybody Sport May 11, 2015

On Sunday 17th May, Xtra Mile Events brings the Wilmslow Triathlon to Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

The event starts with a 400m swim in a 5 lane, 25m indoor pool at Wilmslow Leisure Centre. Transition is on the cricket pitch. The picturesque 24.2km cycle route is a mainly flat cycle ride in the Cheshire countryside through Ashley and Mobberley.

The 6.3km run then goes out from the leisure centre along mainly quiet, leafy roads around east Wilmslow. This is a mainly flat route with some inclines near the River Bollin.

This event is part of the Xtra Mile Events Tri Sprint Series, but competitors do take part in just this event.

After the event there will be a prize giving, celebrating all those making great achievements in this race! The event will benefit from numbered racking, electronic chip timing and excellent goody bags. This is the biggest sprint triathlon in Greater Manchester!
