It’s the final countdown for the Everybody Awards 2016!
The 2016 Everybody Awards, sponsored by Applewood Independent, will be taking place at the prestigious Wrenbury Hall on 7th October 2016 and the night is set to be inspirational, celebrating sporting and community heroes in Cheshire East.
The nomination deadline closes on 21st August and with previous winners competing in the Rio Paralympic Games, it is the perfect time to celebrate local Cheshire sporting and community heroes.
Do you know a sporting club, school, volunteer, organisation or individual who deserves to be recognised for their achievements and helping change lives through healthy recreation? Don’t miss the chance to nominate your sporting heroes.
This year’s categories include:
- Sports Personality of the Year
- Health & Wellbeing Award
- Club of the Year
- Coach of the Year
- Volunteer of the Year
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Young Sports Achiever of the Year
- Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year
- School of the Year
Everybody Sport and Recreation has already received many inspiring nominations and is looking forward to receiving even more before the deadline on the 21st August.
It is fantastic to look back and see previous winners dreams come true. Last year’s Disabled Sports Achiever of the Year, Megan Giglia and 2014’s Sports Personality of the Year winner, Sophie Thornhill have both been selected for the Great Britain Paralympic Cycling Team and will be competing in the Rio this summer.
Andrew Kolker, Chairmain at Everybody Sport and Recreation ,commented, “The nominations we have recently received have been of a very high standard, we have some exceptional sporting talent in Cheshire East. It is fantastic to hear that previous winners are now heading to the Rio Paralympic Games and it shows the calibre of entries we receive each year.
“We are urging anyone who has made a positive contribution to helping change lives through healthy recreation or those individuals and organisations with great achievements to take the opportunity to celebrate at the Everybody Awards this year.”
The Everybody Awards welcome over 200 guests and last year received over 100 nominations from across Cheshire East. British Racing Driver, Nicolas Hamilton, has recently been announced as the guest speaker for the evening thanks to headline sponsors Applewood Independent based in Nantwich.
