Everybody Awards Shortlist Announcement
The shortlist for the 2016 Everybody Awards has now been announced. This year saw more nominations then ever before, showing a huge commitment to sport and physical activity here in Cheshire East.
The shortlist includes 2 Paralympic wheelchair racers, currently representing Team GB in Rio and many others representing the country in a wide range of sports. Nominees ranged from 9 years to over 80 years old.
Jon Winkle, Head of Marketing at Everybody Sport & Recreation, added “We have been overwhelmed with the volume and quality of this year’s nominations. It has been amazing to read through all the inspirational sporting stories with our judging panels, particularly in an Olympic Year following on from the success of Team GB in Rio. We look forward to celebrating these stories in a few weeks and finding who will take home the gold here in Cheshire East.”
The awards take place on Friday 7th October at Wrenbury Hall near Nantwich and have been supported by a range of businesses, including Nantwich-based headline sponsor Applewood Independent. The awards will be presented by Natalie Pike, with racing driver Nicolas Hamilton as keynote speaker.
