Everybody Sport and Recreation are hosting a Tea Dance on the 28th of February in collaboration with the Memory Café! Dust off your dancing shoes and show off your best moves in a fun & friendly environment. The event takes place at Holmes Chapel Community Centre from 2-4pm. Unlimited tea and coffee will be available as well as a selection of cakes, with tickets available for £5.
Speaking on the excitement of the event, Kerry Shea, Director of Everybody Sport and Recreation said, “We are delighted to be working alongside the Memory Café to host this event, it’s a great opportunity for the community to come together, meet new people and share their experiences. Don’t worry if you can’t dance, the afternoon will be led by one of our amazing fitness instructors who can show you the steps!”
The afternoon aims to combat loneliness, encourage socialisation and hopefully give people the opportunity to make new friends in a fun and relaxed environment.
Everybody Sport and Recreation are happy to be hosting in partnership with The Memory Café who were created for people with dementia, their carers and families to meet and socialise with others affected by dementia.
