Everybody partners with Mentell to support their Mental Health Training for staff.

Everybody Sport and Recreation believe that the mental health of their employees, their friends and family and of their customers is so important and over the last few years, they have provided a series of learning and support opportunities.

Richard Roeton Senior Manager, Learning & Development at Everybody Sport and Recreation shares

“We have now partnered with Mentell to provide some mental health refresher training to staff who have previously attended courses with us to reinforce identification of possible issues, signposting and potential positive actions that can be undertaken.

Mentell will be providing first-hand knowledge of a valuable service that they are delivering as well as helping to bring the subject to life for our employees.”

Everybody Sport and Recreations qualified trainers will be supporting Mentell as well as delivering a range of training to employees throughout the year.

Andrew, Chair of Mentell shares

“Over the coming months, Mentell will be holding a series of workshops with Everybody’s staff to highlight the Mentell principles that support healthy conversations around men’s mental health. We believe the best way to do that is to give the staff an in-person experience of what it’s like to be in an authentic and unscripted Mentell circle.”

He continues

“For many men, the gyms and leisure centres allow for a moment in time where the busy day to day living gives way to physical activity and the chance to have a meaningful conversation without the formalities.

For some men this meaningful conversation could literally save his life – suicide is still the biggest risk to a man’s life under 45 years old and men account for 75% of all suicides across the UK.”

Everybody also deliver a wide variety of courses externally, suitable for individuals, businesses, schools and colleges, many of their training courses can be offered in the workplace as well in their own leisure centres throughout the Cheshire East area.

Everybody deliver a range of Mental Health First Aid Courses, including Mental Health Awareness Level 1 Qualification, Mental Health Champion Level 2 Course and Mental Health First Aider Level 3 Course externally.

Richard Roeton shares

“Our range of courses will give you an overview of the most common mental health conditions, gain the knowledge and learn to recognise a range of mental health conditions, teaching you how to start a supportive conversation and when and how to signpost a person to seek appropriate professional help.”
