Do you live in Crewe, love football and want to become more active?

Fit to Play might just be for you, kicking off from Thursday 3rd March 2022!

After securing funding from Sport England, working in partnership with Active Cheshire, Everybody Sport and Recreation and Crewe Alexandra Football Club have joined forces to get Crewe residents more active and healthy through their Fit to Play sessions.

Fit to Play sessions are weekly exercise classes, consisting of circuit training and fun football, perfect for beginner’s fitness and ideal for anyone who wants to exercise living in Crewe.

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with Crewe Alexandra Football Club and Active Cheshire to be able to provide these sessions for Crewe residents.

At Everybody Sport and Recreation we are committed to getting people more active, it is important to us to provide a range of activities so the community can find something they enjoy doing whilst being active.

For those who love football, working with Crewe Alexandra Football Club is allowing us to provide these sessions for residents in the heart of the community.”

Fit to Play will be starting Thursday 3rd March 2022 for only £2.00 per person per week.

The sessions will take place, Thursdays 6.30pm-7.30pm at Crewe Alexandra Football Club Stadium and Saturday 10.00am-11.00am at Crewe Alexandra In The Community Facility in Shavington.

“ Crewe Alexandra Football Club through their Community department in partnership with Everybody Sport and Recreation and Active Cheshire are really excited to get involved in our new Fit to Play sessions based at the Football Club on Thursday nights and at Crewe Alexandra in the Community on Saturday morning’s offering local adult residents the opportunity to improve their health and wellbeing through exercise and social gatherings.

Crewe Alexandra FC are a ‘Community’ club and feel this is a great opportunity to engage with the local community to make them feel part of the football club.”
