Everybody Health and Leisure are delighted to announce they have achieved Swim England Water Wellbeing accreditation at Crewe Lifestyle Centre and Macclesfield Leisure Centre.

The accreditation ensures Everybody’s swimming pools are accessible, inclusive and inviting to all. This demonstrates the highest standards in quality of aquatic provision offered by their facilities to both healthcare partners and people with long-term medical conditions.

The accreditation provided Everybody with a range of resources including, training key frontline staff to better understand the customer experience, as well as developing a personalised aquatic offer, to support the needs of those with long term health conditions. To enhance the aquatics offer, Everybody invested in Good Boost, a programme that uses artificial intelligence to create tailored health programmes for people with musculoskeletal conditions.

Ali Noyce, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Swim England shared:

“We are delighted to have been able to support Everybody Health and Leisure in their aim to improve the health and wellbeing of local communities. The commitment to the Water Wellbeing accreditation is ensuring that more people have the opportunity to become active in the water and improve their health and wellbeing for the future. Through the commitment of the teams at each pool there is now the opportunity for more people to experience this.”

On receiving the accreditation Donna Williamson, Senior Health Innovations Manager at Everybody Health and Leisure shares:

“We are immensely proud to gain Water Wellbeing accreditation and work with Swim England on this important programme. We are passionate about increasing opportunities for more people to become active in the water and improve the health and wellbeing of our community.”

In 2022/23, Everybody welcomed more than 450,000 swim customers to our centres. Gaining this accreditation and developing innovative aquatic programmes, enables Everybody to continue to increase swim numbers, enhance their health offer at both, Crewe Lifestyle Centre and Macclesfield Leisure Centre and provide a platform to build more partnerships with healthcare professionals, in referring patients to their water wellbeing programmes.

There are plans to enhance and extend the Everybody health programmes into Congleton Leisure Centre, along with the continuation of their Good Boost water rehabilitation programme, which has proven highly successful since launching in September 2022.
