2025 Award categories

The Everybody Awards is an annual celebration which recognises the achievements of local heroes in sport, physical activity and health and wellbeing. The awards are organised by Everybody Health and Leisure to shine a light on the everyday heroes who work hard to improve their own lives and the lives of other through their work, volunteering or just their amazing attitude to life in Cheshire East.

Do you know someone who is inspiring our communities to be more active, reduce social isolation, or improve health and wellbeing? Nominees can be:

  • A teacher
  • A coach
  • A parent
  • A physical activity instructor
  • Anyone making a difference in their community who deserves recognition for their support and dedication

Important Information:

  • Nominees must live or work in Cheshire East and be aged 16 or older.
  • Achievements must be from the last 12 months.
  • Nominations must be related to sport, physical activity, or health and wellbeing.

Do you know of a community initiative that is helping people be active or socialise with others in their community? This could be a sports or physical activity session, or a project that has positively impacted someone’s physical or mental wellbeing. Nominees can be:

  • A school
  • A sports club
  • A local organisation
  • A community group
  • An individual

Important Information:

  • Nominees must live or work in Cheshire East and be aged 16 or older.
  • Achievements must be from the last 12 months.
  • Nominations must be related to sport, physical activity, or health and wellbeing.

Do you know someone who is a great example of pushing themselves to achieve in their sport? This award celebrates the amazing sporting achievements of people in Cheshire East. It’s open to anyone who has shown great dedication to their sport or is achieving impressive things, whether at a local, regional, national, or international level.

Important Information:

  • Nominees must live in Cheshire East and be aged 16 or older.
  • Achievements must be from the last 12 months.
  • Nominations must be related to sport, physical activity, or health and wellbeing.

Do you know someone who has given their time to a local community group, sports club, or volunteer organisation to help them provide services to as many people as possible? This award is for local residents who go the extra mile, giving their time to run sessions or groups that encourage people to be more social and physically active. Nominees can be:

  • A volunteer
  • A grounds person
  • A parent or coach who supports local clubs
  • A health champion (someone promoting a health cause or helping people access key services)
  • A walk leader
  • And many more!

Important Information:

  • Nominees must live or work in Cheshire East and be aged 16 or older.
  • Achievements must be from the last 12 months.
  • Nominations must be related to sport, physical activity, or health and wellbeing.

A person or organisation/club that has ensured that people of all abilities and backgrounds have been given the opportunity to access ways to improve their wellbeing through sports or activity initiatives.

This could be, but not limited to:

  • A school
  • Sports club
  • Local organisation
  • Community group
