Everybody Health & Leisure are pleased to announce further investment in Crewe. The charity has signed a contract to take over operations of a large commercial gym, bringing it on board as part of their estate as Everybody @ Crewe West.
Thomas Barton, CEO of Everybody Health & Leisure said:
“We are happy to say we are holding prices for members, with good value, and a good fitness provision at the site complementing broader health services for the local community. We are looking forward to welcoming staff from the existing site at Crewe West, as well as existing and new members. We are committed to investing in and protecting the long term future of leisure and sport in Cheshire East.”
Following the recent Strategic Leisure Review, Everybody identified the need to invest in two particular areas of Macclesfield and Crewe. The charity has invested in Macclesfield earlier this year, opening a brand new facility; Everybody @ Macclesfield Central, as well as a newly designed and equipped gym at Macclesfield Leisure Centre. In addition to these leisure and sports facilities Everybody has also taken on operation of park café’s in Queen’s Park in Crewe and West Park in Macclesfield. Keeping these important community assets open and available for the public.

This news follows the groundbreaking of significant works to improve the Cumberland Arena in Crewe, where Everybody are working with Cheshire East Council to use money from the Towns Fund on a redevelopment project. Part of the existing arena building will be demolished and a new two-storey extension built to provide a reception area, and three new multi-functional studio spaces will be built for classes and targeted health programmes, for which Crewe has been identified as an area of greater need. There will also be significantly improved facilities for spectators, including covered seating.
