As we celebrate 10 years of Crewe Lifestyle Centre, we’re taking a moment to shine a light on the people and communities that make it so special.
Over the past decade, we’ve seen incredible sporting achievements, meaningful community connections, and friendships that go far beyond the activities themselves.
This story is a perfect example of that:
We are a group of around 15 ladies, and we are in our seventh year of playing Walking Netball together.
Over the years, we have become very good friends, and not just at netball. We meet regularly for coffee, enjoy days out together, and support each other through difficult times. We are a close-knit group who truly look after one another.
Walking Netball has been the best thing we ever did. It has helped improve our fitness, encouraged us to socialise, and, most importantly, given us laughter and a real reason to get out and enjoy life.
One particular lady in our group is a fantastic character. At Easter and Christmas, she has us in fits of laughter with her fabulous dressing up.
While we take part in other activities at Crewe Lifestyle Centre, Walking Netball is, without a doubt, our favourite for the fun, the friendships, and the boost to our fitness.
Our coach Nichola is fantastic. She understands our needs and always delivers a fun, supportive session. So, thank you to Nichola and Walking Netball.
