ABOUT NANTWICH BRINE POOL

The outdoor pool first opened to the public on the 1st July 1935 and the pool water temperature is now maintained at 74°F and through solar gain is usually much warmer. Some of our older customers still reminisce about their school days at the pool, when they claim the water was only just above freezing point and they happily swam in it!

The medicinal benefits of the Nantwich ‘salt pit’ (a brine spring) have been known for hundreds of years, particularly by those needing treatment for rheumatism, and it was a popular spot for recovering soldiers in the First World War.

HOT WEATHER POLICY

During very hot weather the outdoor pool very quickly becomes full. Once the maximum bather load is reached the pool will operate a one out one in policy for admissions whilst the pool remains at maximum capacity. Wherever possible we will alert customers via Facebook and Twitter when the pool is full.
