Pumpkin Facts:

 

We usually use pumpkins to carve our favourite designs into for Halloween.

Did you know Pumpkins are a great all rounder for our health?

Full of Vitamins to protect our immune system, especially in the winter months

Great for our bones, skin and teeth

Helps to protect our joints, vital organs and muscles

therefore a great pre/post work out food.

PUMPKIN SOUP

Pumpkin soup

Cover your chunks of pumpkin, carrot, onions and garlic in a pan with water and boil until soft. Leave to cool. (keep the liquid in the pan)

Add chilli, thyme, salt and pepper for flavouring.

Blend altogether in a food processor

Return to the boil to heat (ensure soup is cooked through before eating)

Pumpkin Smoothie

 

Boil your chunks of Pumpkin until soft- Leave to cool

Add Cinnamon or ground ginger to give it that winter flavouring

Vanilla Extract

1 banana

1 cup of milk

Blend altogether in a food processor. Enjoy!

Pumpkin Wedges

Sweet Potato Wedges with Tomato Salsa

Preheat the oven 180c

Cut your Pumpkin into wedges

Place on a baking tray- drizzle with olive oil

Season with salt, pepper, garlic and thyme

Place into the oven for 30 minutes until cooked through and crispy. 

Pumpkin Soup
