Macclesfield Leisure Centre launches the first an out of this world fitness experience in England

Everybody Sport and Recreation launched an out of this world fitness experience at Macclesfield Leisure Centre on 3rd April, introducing the first BIOCIRCUIT™ studio in England.

Local talented athletes including; England long distance runner Lara Crawford, Great Britain Ultra Runner Nicola Bruce and Sale Harriers National Sprinter Ruka Shonibare were amongst those trying the new state of the art fitness technology powered by Technogym at the launch event.

The event held a range of taster sessions with Technogym Master Trainer Cassie Ayala showing the new BIODRIVE cutting-edge technology in action.

The BIOCIRCUIT™ studio is designed to provide a personalised workout in a safe, easy and effective way. The equipment is designed using the latest aerospace technology and provides a new and exciting experience that has been described as “a virtual personal trainer” and “out of this world experience”.

Once logged in, users complete an induction to set each piece of equipment (8 stations) to their unique training needs. Once set up when you revisit the studio the equipment automatically adjusts to your required levels, sets your workout time and instructs which station to move to next. A complete circuit can be achieved in 30 minutes – perfect for anyone short on time to workout!

Paul Winrow, director at Everybody Sport and Recreation commented,

“As a charity, we strive to continuously bring the best and most innovative fitness technology to our centres. Whatever your health and fitness needs may be, from athletes looking to enhance their training to people on our health and wellbeing programmes looking for a safe way to stay active; Biocircuit has benefits for everyone.”

Active Lives member Jane has been using the new studio as part of her journey to get healthy and active and commented,

“What a great idea, I’m clueless when it comes to gyms – this takes all the guesswork, and standing around not quite knowing what to do next away. I’m loving it and my achy shoulders from slouching at work have improved already”

Lisa Goodwin, 49, an Active Lives member at Macclesfield Leisure Centre has been using BioCircuit as her workout and commented

“I love the BioCircuit, and never thought I would be so motivated to exercise.”

Great Britain Ultra Runner Nicola Bruce tried the equipment for the first time at the launch event and commented,

“The kit is really easy to use, I didn’t know what to expect when I turned up. The trainers were amazing and offered help and support and made me feel comfortable. The boost performance programme really tested my fitness and I can’t wait to get back and use it as part of my training.”
