We are excited to announce that Wilmslow Leisure Centre will undergo considerable investment in the fitness offer at the site,  including a brand-new and extended gym, an upgrade to changing facilities and toilets, improved parking via pay-by-phone app, and upgraded theatre and stage equipment.

What will be in your new gym?

• 90 station gym designed to accommodate all abilities and ages
• Multiple zones including free weights, resistance machines, cardio equipment, functional and stretch areas.

The new gym will enable multiple types of group fitness for different audiences, and will be designed to accommodate all abilities, no matter where you are on your fitness journey.

Once complete, we will be able to offer more weekly classes and also introduce new classes in the different zones of the gym, as well keeping all existing popular sessions.

Why are we doing this?

Since the pandemic Wilmslow Leisure Centre has been one of our only sites that hasn’t recovered fully in terms of membership and general usage. At most other locations we have been fortunate to see an increased demand. In the current climate it is important that we invest where we can – to make Wilmslow Leisure Centre more financially fit for the future, with more people accessing the breadth of services on offer.

We’ve prioritised Everybody capital investment to this town at this time, taking into consideration:

• Customer feedback from our 2022 annual customer survey
• Non-user analysis and the needs of local community
• Market research of Wilmslow and surrounding area.

For works to takes place, the gym at Wilmslow Leisure Centre will close from Thursday 27th April at 10:00pm and will re-open to members on Monday 22nd May.

Group Fitness

Studio 2 will close to enable the extended gym. Throughout the period of refurbishment a temporary group fitness timetable will be in place at Wilmslow with additional classes and some relocated room locations.

We are working with stakeholders and contractors to minimise disruption and to utilise the efficient use of all the rooms and studios across the centre.

During this time, you will have access to our site at Alderley Park where you can try out the state-of-the-art Technogym equipment coming to Wilmslow Leisure Centre!

With your access to Everybody@AlderleyPark you will also now have over 70 additional group fitness classes including Les Mills The Trip, Les Mills RPM and OMNIA – located on the gym-floor around the functional training rig and led by our amazing Fitness Experience Leads.
