We all have issues in our lives which may affect our health in some way. At Everybody Healthy we can provide confidential one-to-one support and guidance to adults and families who want to improve their health. Our Lifestyle Coaches and Cookery Tutors have been trained to use a variety of behaviour change techniques to help people make sustainable lifestyle changes.

Everybody Sport and Recreation is an official provider for One You Cheshire East  – friendly local support to help you eat well, move more, stop smoking or drink less.

We are very excited to announce the launch of our free,healthy, cookery workshops for children aged 6-11.  The sessions will be fun and interactive, allowing children to learn how to eat more healthily and learn to make a simple dish or snack. Find out more here.


New Programme- escape-pain

 If yes, join our new programme, ESCAPE-Pain to help you to manage your joint pain. ESCAPE-Pain is a funded, 6 week, evidenced based rehabilitation programme, sometimes called the ‘knee or hip class’, designed to reduce pain and disability for people with chronic joint pain or Osteoarthritis. Falls Prevention Programme


Be Steady Be Safe

Falls Prevention


Be Steady Be Safe is a FREE 24 week Otago exercise programme, consisting of 15 strength and balance exercise classes, prescribed home exercises and education of reducing falls risk factors.

The exercise programme consists of a set of leg muscle strengthening and balance retraining exercises, progressing in difficulty, and a walking plan. You will receive a booklet with instructions for each exercise prescribed and issued ankle cuff weights in the class to provide resistance for the strengthening exercises.

Classes are held across Cheshire East, at various venues, days and times, delivered by our Otago Leaders.

To access the programme you must be:

  • A Cheshire East resident
  • Aged 65 years and over

And have one or more of the following:

  • Fallen in the past 12 months
  • Poor balance and mobility
  • Osteoporosis


In order to monitor and evaluate your progress, you will complete a falls assessment at week one, mid way at 3 months and at the end of the 24 week programme. At 24 weeks you will be expected to transfer into a maintenance stage, which will include moving-on classes in order to aid progression. This will then become chargeable to you.

Re-Shape is a weight management programme that offers practical, no nonsense advice, helps you overcome barriers to weight loss, make sensible food choices and become more active. With our support you will ensure that the changes you make are sustainable, it’s easy with the right help and support.

Re-Shape is a FREE 12-week programme for people aged 18+ years, living in Cheshire East, who are overweight with a BMI of 25- 39.9. If you are at risk of, or are living with type 2 diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure or other weight related issues this programme is particularly suitable for you.

Over the 12 weeks you will:

  • Receive help and support to address your individual barriers to weight loss and achieve your goals.
  • Identify opportunities to get you active and learn why it is important for your health.
  • Attend a weekly group, nutritional education session, followed by a led walk. Delivered by a Reshape Mentor.
  • Have access to a wide range of physical activity and exercise opportunities, including swimming, gym, zumba, walking, aqua fit and much more.
  • Learn about nutrition, eating a balanced and healthy diet, portion sizes, importance of food labels, making healthier food choices, eating out and much more.
  • Take part in practical cookery classes to improve cooking skills, inspiring you to cook quick and healthy meals from scratch and look at ways to cook on a budget.

Active Lives


Active Lives

Active Lives provides individual help and support for people who want to become physically active, delivered by our highly qualified Lifestyle Coaches. The programme is tailored to individual needs, providing them with the tools, support and knowledge to achieve their goals and transform their lifestyle.

Activities Include:

  • Led Walks
  • Exercise Classes
  • Swimming
  • Gym
  • Racket Sports
  • Walking Football
  • And much more!

To access the programme a person must be:

  • A Cheshire East resident
  • Aged 18 years and over
  • Doing less than 30 minutes of moderate intensity physical activity per week.
  • Motivated and wanting to be more physically active


On the Active Lives programme individuals will have contact with a dedicated Lifestyle Coach, who will help motivate and inspire people to achieve their personal goals. Active Lives is a bespoke programme, tailored to specific needs; aimed at maximising an individual’s results, whilst keeping them motivated and increasing their health and exercise knowledge.

Individuals will receive a:

  • 1:2:1 consultation
  • Health assessment
  • Personal health plan
  • Goal and target setting
  • Welcome pack
  • Various follow up appointments over the 12 weeks to monitor your progress
  • Customers who complete the 12 week funded programme will be offered a reduced priced Everybody membership for 12 months.

Taste for Life Cookery


Taste for Life Cookery

Our 6 week Taste for Life cookery courses will encourage more people to cook meals at home, from scratch, using basic ingredients. You will also learn about the benefits of healthy eating at low cost!

Courses are available to anyone who is:

  • A Cheshire East resident
  • Aged 18 years and over
  • Motivated and wanting learn to cook from scratch and improve cookery skills and eating habits.


During the 6 week cookery course participants will learn:

  • How to cook low cost, healthy nutritious meals from scratch.
  • Understand and read food labels
  • Prepare portion sizes
  • Learn to forward plan and prepare meals
  • Reduce waste & utilise store cupboard ingredients
  • How to source healthy balanced recipes
  • Understand the eat well guide and 5 food groups

Lets Get Movin’

Do you want your family to lead a healthier lifestyle? Join our Let’s Get Movin’ family physical activity and healthy eating programme, a free, fun way to make small changes and see big differences.

Lets Get Movin’ is a FREE 12 week programme for:

  • Cheshire East residents
  • Aged 4 to 18 years
  • One child in the family must be above a healthy weight
  • Motivated and wanting to be more physically active and improve their health.

Over the 12 weeks you will:

Have unlimited access to a wide range of activities to help increase levels of physical activity such as swimming, racket sports and classes.
Attend interactive workshop’s which focus on:

  • The key factors influencing weight and health
  • Portion control
  • Food labels
  • Healthy snacks and physical activity.
  • For children 4-18 years and their families

Pregnancy Classes


Fit For Birth

Regular gentle exercise and staying a healthy weight can be beneficial for both mother and baby (as long as there are no complications.) Exercise can help with common health problems in pregnancy such as cramp, tiredness, poor circulation, poor posture and the ‘baby blues.’

We have a specific Fit for Birth programme for pregnant women, this will provide specialist help and support for women who want to become physically active, eat a healthy balanced diet and improve their health during pregnancy.

Please note: If pregnant with identical twins you are not able to join either Fit for Birth or Aqua Natal, this is due to the twins being in same sack in the womb and can cause injury to each other as they bang together during movement.

The programme includes:

  • Individualised care planning from your midwife.
  • 12 week specialist support from an Ante and Post Natal Lifestyle Coach.
  • Free access to appropriate activities, including Gym, Swimming, Aqua Natal, Pilates, Yoga and much more.
  • Advice on eating a healthy and balanced diet throughout and beyond pregnancy.


Fit for Birth is a free 12 week programme for:

  • Cheshire East Residents
  • Want to and motivated to have a healthy pregnancy by being more active and eating a healthy balanced diet
  • Exclusion criteria applies to ensure you are safe to exercise during pregnancy
