Congratulations to the recent group who completed Everybody’s 6-week Escape-Pain for Backs programme at Congleton Leisure Centre.

ESCAPE-Pain for Backs is a rehabilitation programme designed to help reduce pain and disability for people with chronic lower back pain, through education and exercise.

The participants have increased their knowledge on how to manage their back pain, whilst becoming more physically active and increasing their self-confidence through socialising.

Here is what a few participants had to say about the Everybody Healthy programme:

Phillip was recommended the Escape Pain programme by his physio. He was experiencing sever back pain, sharing:

“I have enjoyed the atmosphere and friendliness of the classes. The sessions include theory and circuit-based exercises. The coaches are friendly and are great when engaging with other people”.

Antonia joined Everybody’s ESCAPE-pain for Backs programme to help manage her lower back pain and she can now better support her pain management. She shared:

“My health and fitness has improved, with the class being a great kick-starter. I have enjoyed meeting new people and taking part in the accessible exercises, adapted to each individual’s level. It’s great to be able to extend the programme through access of the gym, pool and classes. This is all helping me to continue what I have started and encourage a good fitness habit”.

Anne joined the programme to help manage her back pain. She shared:

“The sessions are enjoyable where Claire and Vicky made it fun. The classes include the important education and support to help manage my back pain. I would highly recommend Everybody’s programme”.

Claire Milnes, Specialist Health Advisor at Everybody Health & Leisure shared:

“We really enjoy delivering the programme. The group were very keen and eager, taking part in everything. The improvement from the first class to the final session was amazing.  They have all continued their health and fitness journey, whether it’s benefitting from attending the gym or health exercise classes.”
