Cheshire East Council Introduce Changes to Parking

Updated: 10/06/2024

As a valued Everybody customer we wanted to keep you up to date with changes to car parking being introduced from 1st September at Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

As a result of the essential cost savings measures imposed by Cheshire East Council, and the consequential changes to parking at Crewe Lifestyle Centre and Nantwich Leisure Centre (see below update), we have had to carefully consider parking changes for Wilmslow Leisure Centre.

We continue to review requirements and for the remainder of 2024/25 will provide our valued members the best experience when visiting Wilmslow Leisure Centre, we will continue to offer free parking for Everybody Health & Fitness members, Learn to Swim Members or customers taking part in Everybody leisure activities. This includes PAYG gym, swim and sport customers.

From September parking charges will apply to any non-members visiting Wilmslow Leisure Centre. This includes access to sporting and entertainment events, Cricket matches and external clubs.

Whilst we appreciate this will be disappointing news to some of our centre users, we hope you understand the pressures we are facing as a charity and are working to protect the future of our services.

Changes to parking will be introduced by Cheshire East Council impacting visitors to select Everybody Leisure Centres.

As you’re likely aware, the council is facing unprecedented pressures and need to make £100million savings across the next four years. This includes essential cost saving measures.

From 8th July, reimbursement of parking charges will no longer be available at Crewe Lifestyle Centre and Nantwich Leisure Centre.

While we are disappointed at this decision, we understand the difficult position the council is in. We are pleased however at the council’s decision to keep the “Free After 3pm” initiative at, where parking fees are waived when parking after 3pm, at Thomas St car park in Crewe and Snow Hill car park in Nantwich. Free parking on Sunday will also remain at Snow Hill car park in Nantwich.
