Free race places up for grabs for the Cheshire Triathlon on the 21st May

This year we have relaunched the Everybody Foundation with a new process for giving out grants to the community!

Your fundraising will help to support us in keeping young people in sport and many other worthy causes.

The cost of living crisis is at the forefront of everyone’s mind right now, and helping to relieve the local community of some of the pressures of this is our top priority.

We have been hearing reports that local sport clubs are seeing a drop-off in numbers of young people attending sessions recently. When times are tough, parents and carers may be forced to pull their children out of extra-curricular sport due to the costs it can bring – understandably so.

This is where the Everybody Foundation comes in and your fundraising support!

We would like to give the opportunity to clubs in the Cheshire East area to apply on behalf of young people they know will benefit from a small grant in order to keep playing the sport they love.

These small grants will be used to help pay for club subscriptions, cover travel costs, essential kit, subs and equipment needed to continue participating. Our trustees may support one-off applications that come through.

• 5 free race places are up for grabs on a first come first served basis by completing the contact form on our website below. Closing date to register for a free race place is Wednesday 5^th April 2023
• The race place will be for the Cheshire Triathlon event on 21^st May at Barony Park & Nantwich Leisure Centre, Nantwich, Cheshire CW5 5QY
• The race place is for Everybody Members and Everybody staff only
• One race place per person
• Race places cannot be passed to anyone else
• Winners must raise a minimum of £80 towards the Everybody Foundation which must be done by creating a JustGiving page which we will send details on how to set this up if you are a successful winner
• Fundraising must be completed by Wednesday 24th May
• The Everybody Foundation team will review the applications on the 6^th April with the hopes to let the successful 5 winners know on the 6^th/7^th April, however this is under review and we may reopen the opportunity to apply for free race places, the latest customers/staff will hear if they have won is 12^th/ 13th April
• If you have not heard anything from us by the 13^th April this will mean you have been unsuccessful on this occasion, however please do check out UK Triathlons website for events. Did you know Everybody members receive a 15% discount off all UK Triathlon events, get in touch and we can send you our discount code!
• If you are a winner, you can choose from either a Sprint, Super Sprint, Fun or Team Relay distance. Entry to these events close at least 2/3 weeks before the event, please ensure you are registered by the 30^th April, The Everybody Foundation will send you your unique code and instructions on how to apply your discount code.
• By registering you agree to be contacted by our marketing team who will be in touch to support you with your fundraising efforts to help you promote this far and wide, they will be in attendance on the day and would like to capture photos/ video interviews with you to share for marketing purposes. These will be shared on our social media, website, press releases, newsletters, shared internally and externally within marketing materials both printed and digital methods. As well as sharing with other organisations such as UK Triathlon to share across their channels.
